Tuning the hot-water
circuit of app. 16B

To obtain optimum regulation, the flow resistance in the two circuits (port A-
circuit and port B-circuit – see system diagram 16B on page 107) must be equal.
When the ECL 2000 Type 2 has been connected to the system (see instructions for
wiring on page 109) and application 16 has been selected (see instructions on page
21 ff), carry out the following steps to tune the mixing temperature in the system.
1.

Open throttles V1 and V2 completely. Use the controller's Manual
Override facility to set mixing valve M3 to 50% open and switch off
pump P3.
4.
Open tap no. 1 in the system. Do not check the temperature until the
system is stabilized.
If the temperature is too high, adjust throttle V1 in the closing direction.
If the temperature is too low, adjust throttle V2 in the closing direction.
5.
Open taps no. 2, 3, 4, etc. and check the temperature each time a tap is
opened. Every time you open a new tap, wait with checking the tem-
perature until the system is stabilized.
6.
Adjust throttles until the temperature is the same at all capacities.
The steps listed below allow you to tune the circulation pipe temperature at no hot-
water consumption:
1.
Switch on the circulation pump P3.
2.
Press the controller's

Open throttles V3 and V4 in the circulation pipes completely.
4.
Open some taps. Let the system stabilize.
5.
Press the controller's

position where the system was stable.

Close all taps.
7.
Use a thermometer to check the mixing temperature. The thermometer
must be applied to the outside of the pipe between the first tap and the
non-return valve shown to the right of sensor S10 in the system diagram
16B.
8.
If the temperature is too high, adjust throttle V4 in the closing direction.
If the temperature is too low, adjust throttle V3 in the closing direction.
