Check 1 Determine if the monitor's power LED illuminates (turns green) for 20 seconds.
If the LED illuminates, perform Check 2. If the LED does not illuminate, perform
Procedure 6.
Check 2 Determine if the monitor's "adjust select" LED illuminates (turns green) for 20
seconds.
If the adjust select LED illuminates, perform Procedure 5. If this LED does not
illuminate, perform Procedure 6.
Procedure 5
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if the original monitor is defective. To perform
this procedure, perform the following Check.
Check (A) Replace the original monitor with another VGA monitor (refer to section
4.15.). (B) Test to determine if the data displays.
If data displays on the substitute screen, perform Procedure 6. If data does not
display on the substitute screen, perform Procedure 7.
Procedure 6
The purpose of this check is to determine if the new monitor functions properly. To perform
this procedure, perform the following Check.
Check (A) Replace the monitor (refer to section 4.15.). (B) Perform Procedure 1.
Procedure 7
The purpose of this check is to determine if the system board is defective, causing the display
problem. To perform this procedure, perform the following Check.
Check (A) Replace the system board (refer to section 4.9.). (B) Perform Procedure 1.

This section describes how to determine if the Infinia ™ 15" or 17" monitor is operating
properly in regard to displaying data. To perform this process, begin with Procedure 1 and
perform the remaining procedures as instructed. The procedures described in this section
