Replacing the HDD
To replace the HDD, perform the following procedure and refer to Figures 4-17 and 4-18.
1. Verify that the jumper settings on the new HDD are correct for this computer's
configuration. Refer to the HDD's label or section 1.3.6. for the appropriate jumper
settings
2. Secure the HDD to the bracket with four 6/32x1/4 screws.
3. Align the guides on the bracket with the guides on the chassis and slide the bracket
into the chassis until the bracket snaps in place.
4. Connect power cable P2 (label up) and the data cable (bottom connector) to the HDD.
5. Make sure that the CMOS setting is correct for the replaced HDD. Refer to the
HDD's label for CMOS information.
6. Replace the computer's right-side panel (refer to section 4.2.2.), as viewed from the
rear.
7. Connect the power cord and all external cables to the computer and turn on the power.
