Procedure 4
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if BIOS testing has identified a problem with
the system board. The Initial Reliability Test (IRT) within the BIOS checks the system board
for possible problems or errors. When the IRT detects an error, the system halts and a
corresponding error message is displayed on the screen.
Check 1 If the system halts and the error message Memory Parity Error at
xxxxx displays on the screen, perform Check 2. If the system halts and the error
messages I/O Parity Error at xxxxx or DMA Bus Time-out
display on the screen, perform Check 8. If no error messages display, perform

The Serial ID checksum of a Plug and Play card was invalid.

checksum error. Try rerunning the ICU.
