Trim angle adjustment
The transom angle adjustment
1. Stop the engine.
2. Shift into neutral position.
3. Tilt up the outboard motor.

4. Lock the tilt stopper
5. Remove the snap pin and thrust rod
as shown in the picture.

2. Thrust rod
6. Reinstall the thrust rod in the desired
position securely.
7. Put the snap pin back and unlock the
tilt stopper.
8. Gently tilt down the outboard motor.

WARNING
Do not tilt the outboard motor up or down
when swimmer(s) and/or passenger(s) are
near to prevent them from being caught
between outboard motor body and clamp
bracket.

When tilting up or down, be careful not to
place your hand between the swivel bracket
and the clamp bracket.

WARNING
When tilting up outboard motor with fuel
joint for over a few minutes, be sure to dis-
connect fuel hose, or fuel may leak, poten-
tially catching fire.

CAUTION
Do not tilt up the outboard motor while
engine is operating, or no cooling water may
be discharged, leading to engine seizure due
to overheating.

Note
After use, leave the outboard motor
upright for a minute to drain the water
from inside the engine.
