FE and F7 Example: Manipulate barcodes that begin with a 1
Search for barcodes that begin with a 1. If a barcode matches, move the cursor
back to the beginning of the data and send 6 characters followed by a carriage
return. Using the barcode above:
Command string: FE31F7F2060D
FE is the "Compare characters" command
31 is the hex value for 1
F7 is the "Move the cursor to the beginning" command
F2 is the "Send a number of characters" command
06 is the number of characters to send
0D is the hex value for a CR
The data is output as:
123456
<CR>
Move the cursor to the end
EA Move the cursor to the last character in the input message. Syntax = EA.

Search Commands

Search forward for a character
F8 Search the input message forward for "xx" character from the current cursor
position, leaving the cursor pointing to the "xx" character. Syntax = F8xx where xx
stands for the search character's hex value for its ASCII code.
Refer to the
decimal, hex and character codes.
F8 Example: Send barcode data that starts after a particular character
Search for the letter "D" in barcodes and send all the data that follows, including
the "D." Using the barcode above:
Command string: F844F10D
F8 is the "Search forward for a character" command
44 is the hex value for "D"
