Chapter 2 Preparations

Connecting a RAID controller (N8103-206/210) and an extra 2.5-inch HDD cage (N8154-83F)
When the RAID controller (N8103-206/210) is additionally installed, and the additional 2.5-type HDD cage
(N8154-83) is installed, install OS to the 2.5-type HDD cage. Connect the SATA cable attached to the 3.5-
type HDD cage (N8154-136), optional KK410-444(00) RAID LED cable, and K410-364(00) built-in SAS/SATA
cable. For the additional 2.5-type HDD cage (N8154-83), the attached SATA cable is not used. At first, install
the hard disk drive into the leftmost slot viewing from the front side, and then install the remaining disks in
order.

About RAID LED cables
To enable the Global HDD lamp on the front surface to show whether the hard disk drive connected to the
RAID controller accesses or not, connect the RAID LED cable of the RAID controller installation kit.
Connect to the LED connector on the mother board and to the connector on the RAID controller.
