Chapter 2 Preparations

Power cord

Connect the provided power cord to the server.
When the power cord is connected to an outlet, POWER LED lights amber during initialization of the system.
Installation of AC cable tie
Insert to the hole of power
supply.
Tips
 To connect the power cord to a UPS, connect it to the outlet provided at the rear
of the UPS. For details, refer to the instruction manual supplied with the UPS
 In order to link the power supply from the UPS with the power-on/off of this
server, the BIOS settings change are required depending on the UPS to which
the power cord of this server is connected.
In the BIOS Setup Utility, select Chipset and then to PCH-IO Configuration.
Final to AC-LINK to change the parameter to the appropriate value.
 Secure the power cord by AC cable tie attached to the server.
Important
 Install AC cable tie attached to the server on the power supply and fix power
code with it.
 It is necessary to keep cooling efficiency for inside of the server and prevent AC
power cord pulling off by accident.
