1. Installation and Connection

This section describes installation and connection.

1.1 Installation

Use the console drawer by installing it on a standard EIA 19-inch rack assembly.

1.1.1 Installation of Rack

Refer to the documentation provided with the rack or contact your service representative for the installation of the
console drawer on the rack.

Be sure to observe the following precautions to use the server and its peripheral devices
safety. Failure to observe the precautions m ay cause death or serious injury. For details,
refer to Safety precautions in Precautions for Use.
･ Do not use the console draw er in any unapproved place.
･ Do not connect the earth w ire to the gas tube.

･ Do not pull out a device from the rack if the rack is unstable.
･ Do not leave more than one device being pulled out from the rack.
･ Do not provide the w iring exceeding the rating pow er.
