2. Daily Maintenance

To use the console drawer in good condition, regularly check and maintain the drawer described below. If the
console drawer is assumed as faulty, immediately contact your service representative.

2.1 Cleaning

Clean the console drawer on a regular basis to keep the drawer in a good shape.

2.1.1 Cleaning the console drawer

For daily cleaning, wipe the external surfaces of the console drawer with a dry soft cloth. Follow the procedure
below if stains remain on the surfaces:
1. Confirm that all the status LEDs of the console drawer are turned off and the whole system, including
the server and the peripherals, are shut down and the POWER LED is off.
2. Unplug the power cord of the console drawer from a power outlet.
3. Wipe off dust from the power cord plug with a dry cloth.
4. Soak a soft cloth in neutral detergent that is diluted with cold or lukewarm water, and squeeze it
firmly.
5. Rub off stains on the console drawer with the cloth prepared in step 4.
6. Soak a soft cloth in water, squeeze it firmly, and wipe the console drawer with it once again.
7. Wipe the console drawer with a dry cloth.

precautions may cause death or serious injury. For details, refer to Safety precautions in Precautions for
Use.
• Do not disassemble, repair, or alter the console drawer.
• Disconnect the pow er cord before working w ith the console drawer.
Im portant
To avoid altering the m aterial and color of the console drawer, do not use
volatile solvents such as thinner and benzene to clean the console drawer.
The power receptacle, the cables, and the connectors of the console drawer
m ust be kept dry. Do not m oisten them w ith water.
