1.3 Relocating and storage

Follow the steps below when you move or store the console drawer.
While referring to Installation and Connection, disconnect the power cord and the interface cable from the

console drawer. Remove the console drawer from the rack if it is installed on the rack.
２． Pack the console drawer using the same package box and the packaging materials from the time of
purchase.
If you do not have the original packaging materials, pack the console drawer securely using shock-
absorbing materials to prevent damage to the console drawer.

Be sure to observe the follow ing precautions to use the console draw er safety. Failure to observe the
precautions may cause death or serious injury. For details, refer to Safety precautions in Precautions for
Use.
• Do not install the console draw er in any place other than specified.
• Do not disassemble, repair, or alter the console drawer.
• Disconnect the pow er plug before installing or removing the console draw er.
Be sure to observe the follow ing precautions to use the console draw er safely. Failure to observe the
precautions may cause burns, injury, and property damage. For details, refer to Safety precautions.
• Make sure to complete installation.
• Be careful not to drop the console drawer.
• Do not remove the console draw er from the rack w hile it is operating.
• Do not get your fingers caught in the rails w hile installing the console draw er on the rack.
• Do not extend the console draw er from the rack that is not stabilized.
• Do not extend more than one device out of the rack.
Note When a large-scale operation such as changing the floor layout is necessary,

contact your sales representative.
When storing the server, monitor the environmental conditions of the storage area

(temperature: -10 C to 55 C, humidity: 10% to 85%). (No dew condensation is
permitted)
Im portant Make sure to remove the interface cable after confirming that all power cords
have been removed from the power outlet.
Im portant If the console drawer is suddenly m oved from a cold place to a w arm place,
condensation w ill occur and cause malfunctions and failures when it is used in
such state. Wait for a sufficient period of time before using the console drawer
in the operating environment.
