Do not use the console drawer for a long time or when your physical condition is not good.

Do not use the console drawer while your hands are wet.
･
Do not connect or disconnect the connector while your hands are wet.
･
Do not put an unnecessary object such as tea cups on the console drawer.
･
Be sure to use the combination of resolution and refresh rate described in "Resolution and Refresh Rate".

Be sure to properly configure the keyboard and touchpad of the console, and servers. Incorrect configuration
･
may cause a malfunction of the system.
The cable connected to each port must be connected to the proper connectors on server side (VGA and USB,
･
or DVI and USB). If DVI and USB (or VGA and USB) are connected separately to the different servers, you
will fail to operate keyboard or touchpad. Also the displayed information may not be correct.
When connecting the VGA cable, make sure the orientation of connector. Firmly secure the connector with
･
screws. Loose cable connection may cause the deterioration of picture quality including ghost and blur of
characters.
When connecting KVM switch unit including cascade connection, be sure to use genuine NEC's KVM switch
･
unit. Do not connect any other server switch unit.
In cascade connection between N8143-122F and KVM switch unit (N8191-14FKVM Switch Unit (8Server)),
･
make the first KVM switch unit as master unit and another KVM switch unit can be connected as a slave unit
to the master unit. No KVM switch unit can be connected to the slave unit (three level connection not allowed).
Make sure that optional devices you are going to install are supported for use with the console drawer. Even if
･
they are successfully installed or connected, installation of unsupported devices can cause the console drawer
to malfunction or failure.
It is recommended that the console drawer should be stored in a place where the room temperature can be
･
maintained.
Store the console drawer under the storage condition (temperature: –10°C to 55°C, humidity: 10% to 85%,
without condensation) to the console drawer to operate correctly in the next operation.
