Safety notes

This section provides notes on using this console drawer safely. Read this section carefully to ensure proper and
safe use of this console drawer. For symbols, refer to Safety precautions.

General

Do not use the console drawer for services w here critical high availability m ay directly affect human
lives or high reliability is required.
The console draw er is not intended to be used for control facilities or devices concerning human lives,
including medical devices, nuclear facilities and devices, aeronautics and space devices, transportation
facilities and devices; and facilities and devices requiring high reliability. We assume no liability for any
accident resulting in personal injury, death, or property damage if the console draw er has been used in the
above conditions.
Do not use the console drawer if any sm oke, odor, or noise is present.
If smoke, odor, or noise is present, immediately turn off the console drawer and disconnect the power plug
from the outlet, then contact your sales representative.
Using the console draw er in such conditions may cause a fire.
Do not insert needles or m etal objects.
Do not insert needles or metal objects into ventilation holes in the console draw er or openings in the optical
disk drive. Doing so may cause an electric shock.
Keep w ater or foreign matter away from the console drawer.
Do not drop a pin, paper clip, w ater, alcohol and other foreign materials or liquid into the console draw er.
Failure to follow this w arning may cause an electric shock, a fire, and other failures of the console draw er. If
such things accidentally enter the console draw er, immediately turn off the pow er and disconnect the power
plug from the outlet. Do not disassemble the console draw er, and contact your sales representative.
Do not break or damage the LCD.
If the LCD is damaged and the liquid inside enters the mouth, gargle immediately. If the liquid adheres to
skin or enters the eye, w ash with running water for at least 15 minutes and consult a doctor. LCD contains
irritative substance.
