7   Operation
7   OPERATION
7.1   TRAINING THE OPERATING PERSONNEL
– The operating personnel must be qualified to operate the entire system.
– The operating staff must be familiar with the potential risks associated with improper
behavior as well as the necessary protective devices and measures.
– Before work commences, the operating personnel must receive appropriate system
training.
7.2   TASKS
DANGER
High-voltage field!
Danger to life from malfunction of heart pacemakers. Make sure that persons with
pacemakers:
4 do not work with the electrostatic spray gun,
4 don't stay inside the area of the electrostatic spray gun/work piece.
WARNING
Discharge of electrostatically charged components in atmospheres containing
solvents!
Explosion hazard from electrostatic spark-over.
4 Use spray gun only with fitted nozzle, air cap and union nut.
1. Ensure that:
4 the control unit was not opened;
4 commissioning is carried out in accordance with chapter Assembly and
Commissioning [8 30].
7.2.1   Emergency Deactivation
In the case of unforeseen occurrences immediately:
1. Switch off control unit.
2. Relieve pressure according to the operating manual of the product pressure generator.
3. Close the compressed air supply.
7.3   SETTING THE SPRAY PATTERN USING THE AIR PRESSURE REGULATOR
The air pressure regulator regulates the air supply (shaping and atomizing air) to the gun.
