6   Assembly and Commissioning
3. Lock the external release with an appropriate tool (e.g., key switch) (the high-voltage
supply must be secured to prevent unauthorized persons from switching it on).
4. Check that all product-conveying connections are correctly connected.
5. Check that all air-conveying connections are correctly connected.
6. Visually check the permissible pressures for all the system components.
7. Check the level of the separating agent in the pump and fill up if necessary.
8. Provide product tank, tanks for flushing agent and an empty tank for return flow.
9. The interface on the rear of the control unit must be protected with a cover.
10. Connect the system to the air supply.
11. When first commissioning the unit, flush the system in accordance with the operating
manuals for the other components.
6.6.1   Verifying a Safe Operational Condition
A skilled person must check to ensure that the device is in a reliable state after it is
assembled and commissioned.
This includes:
– Safety checks in accordance with chapter Safety Checks and Maintenance Intervals
[8 51].
– Function test in accordance with chapter Function Test after Repair Work [8 66].
