b)
Enable VIPS
i.
Under Virtual Intelligent Property Sensor select an activation option in the Activation drop-down list:
• Not activated
• Always active
• Active when the system is in Away mode
• Active when the system is in Home mode
• Active when associated Time Schedule Control (TSC) output is active
ii.
If TSC is used for activation, select a TSC in the TSC drop-down list.
c)
Set timers and alarm types:
i.
Set the guard time in the Guard time (seconds) field.
The guard time starts when the door opens. If the door closes before the guard time has elapsed, the guard
alarm is not generated.
If the motion sensor detects movement before the guard time has elapsed, the care recipient is considered
to still be at home and the guard time restarts.
ii.
Set the activation time in the Activation time (seconds) field.
The activation time starts when the door closes. If the motion sensor detects movement before the activation
time has elapsed, the care recipient is considered to be within the property and no alarm is generated.
d)
Under Door Sensor > Door Open, enable the door sensor to detect when the door opens:
i.
Select the door sensor in the Radio sensor drop-down list.
ii.
If required, select sensor trigger type in the Trigger type drop-down list. Otherwise, select "Any" to keep
settings from the selected radio sensor.
iii. If required, select location of the sensor in the Location drop-down list. Otherwise, select "Any" to keep
settings from the selected radio sensor.
The guard time starts when the door opens. If the door closes before the guard time has elapsed, the guard
alarm is not generated.
If the motion sensor detects movement before the guard time has elapsed, the care recipient is considered to still
be at home and the guard time restarts.
