check/view a specific channel's parameter settings. Note that the submenus differ from
one VCX V7111 to another.

Downloading Software Updates to the VCX V7111

You can download the software for your VCX V7111 using the embedded web server. VCX
V7111 software includes the following files:
The *.CMP file — The main software image file. For example, download the file to
change the software version.
The *.INI file — A proprietary configuration file, capable of containing various
configuration parameters and data. Download the file to enable enhanced provisioning of
the VCX V7111 parameters. Note that the INI file download only provisions parameters
that are contained in the INI file.
When updating the main software image *.CMP file, it is mandatory to replace the
*.INI file too (there is always an *.INI file to match the *.CMP file).
The *.DAT Call Progress Tones file — A region-specific, telephone exchange-
dependent file. It provides call status/call progress to customers, operators, and
connected equipment. Default Tone: U.S.A.
