6. Plug the other end of the SCSI cable into the SCSI port
on the back of your computer, or into the last SCSI
device previously connected to your computer.
Secure all cable connections properly using the screws or clips
on the connectors.
NOTE:
If there are other SCSI devices attached to your computer's
SCSI port, connect the ColorScript 310/330 printer to the last SCSI
device on the SCSI chain. The ColorScript 310/330 printer's SCSI
printer port is internally terminated, so it must always be the last
device on the SCSI chain.
NOTE:
The SCSI port on Macintosh computers is marked with a
symbol.
NOTE:
The SCSI port on most PCs is on an add-on card. It may be
marked with the acronym
7. Switch on the ColorScript 310/330 printer, all other
SCSI devices, then switch on your computer.
Changing to Raster Mode
Applications that have SCSI printer drivers are typically raster
(bitmap) applications like Adobe Photoshop. SCSI printer
drivers print in Raster mode, not PostScript mode, so you need
to change the printer mode from PostScript to Raster before you
print to the ColorScript 310/330 printer using a SCSI
connection. To change to Raster mode:
1. Press the Menu button on the ColorScript 310/330
printer's front panel repeatedly until MODE displays in
the LCD.
