Chapter 1 — Installing Your Printer
WARNING:

to team-lift the printer when unpacking, and use care to avoid injuring
your hands or fingers when repositioning the printer on a table top.
3. Remove the cardboard padding from the paper cassette.
A piece of cardboard is used to pad the paper cassette
during shipping. Refer to Chapter 2, "Loading Paper and
Film," for detailed instructions on opening the paper
cassette.
4. Remove all packing materials from the printer.
Pull the printer cover switch toward the front of the printer
to open the printer cover, and remove the padding material
from the ribbon cassette area. Refer to Chapter 3,
"Changing Printer Ribbons," for details about the ribbon
cassette.
5. Familiarize yourself with the parts of the printer and
paper cassette.
See Figure 1-2, Figure 1-3, and Figure 1-4 to identify the
major parts of the printer and paper cassette.
