Network connections
All Meridian 1/Succession 1000 switches use an Embedded LAN (ELAN) for
system access and control. In a Communication Control Toolkit environment,
you must isolate telephony traffic from data traffic. Ensure that telephony traffic
is confined to the ELAN subnet and that data traffic is confined to one or more
Nortel server subnets. The following sections describe how to isolate telephony
traffic in contact center, knowledge worker, and self-service environments.
