cd - Change the Active Volume
To change the active volume, use the
cd <vol> :
vol
is the slot number of the volume.
The system displays the new active volume.
If you enter the
present working directory, as follows:

compact - Compact File Space
Data is written sequentially to the memory cards from lower to higher memory
addresses. Files written to memory follow one after the other. If a file is deleted,
the space is not freed up; therefore, eventually all of the memory space is used. To
resolve or prevent this problem, run the
•
Copy active files to memory.
•
Erase the memory card's contents.
•
Copy the active files back to the memory card.
Caution: Memory should be compacted during nonpeak times when the SSP
is not heavily utilized. Compacting may affect SSP performance.
If responses to the
free space on a memory card, compacting the space on the card increases the
contiguous free space.
To erase the memory card contents and rewrite its files, enter the following
command:
compact <vol> :
