Fault Management - Nortel Versalar 15000 Troubleshooting Manual

The hardware and software components on the Versalar 15000 work together to
provide comprehensive fault management and recovery services. Key to these
services is the SSP. The SSP acts as the primary route server and central
management component for the Versalar 15000. As the central management
component, it monitors system components for failures and if necessary,
reconfigures the system appropriately to minimize and isolate the impacts of any
faults.
This chapter describes the redundancy of components, the failover and failback
scenarios, and how to override automatic failback when servicing an access card.
