It is imperative that the user becomes familiar and
understands all warnings posted on the unit.
To minimize the risk o f injury, follow all safety guidelines provided with the unit and owner's manual.
Precision craftsm anship assures Body-Solid's ab ility
to consistently deliver products o f the highest stan­
dards. Our products have been carefully designed to
ensure safe, efficient long term operation.
However, it m ust be realized th a t safe use o f this
eq uipm en t requires th a t owners carefully read and
fo llo w the Body-Solid use recom m endations, w arn­
ings, and m aintenance guidelines in this Owners
Manual.
Routine inspection and m aintenance is of critical
im portance to ensure m axim um safety and perfor­
mance. Body-Solid uses the highest qu ality materials
available, b u t wear is inevitable. Therefore, you must
carefully inspect you r e q uipm en t as outlined in the
M aintenance Schedule.
Be advised th a t dangerous conditions can arise even
during a w arranty period. A w arranty does not ne­
gate the owner's responsibility to thoroughly, care­
fu lly and daily inspect the machine.
Including m aintaining the equipm ent, the owner's
responsibility is also to:

Be sure to always provide adequate supervision to all
end-users.
О
Be sure to instruct all end-users o f proper usage.
О
Be sure all supervisors and personal trainers who
instruct end-users on e q uipm en t use are properly
trained and know the fun ction and im portance of
every a d justm ent and setting.
Also, be sure these trainers provide proper instruc­
tio n to end-users on the fundam entals o f strength
training.

M a i n t e n a n c e
CABLES:
О
W hile the machine is not in use, carefully run your
fingers along the cable to feel for th in n in g or bulg­
ing areas. Replace cables im m ediately at the first
sign of dam age or wear. Do not use the eq uipm ent
until the damaged cable has been replaced.
О
Visually inspect the cables for fraying, cracking,
peeling or discoloration.
О
Check slack in cables and re-adjust cable tension if
needed.
О
Check th a t the ja m nut on the selector rod to p bolt
is tigh t.
UPHOLSTERY:
О
W ipe dow n and sanitize after every w orkout.
О
Periodically take the tim e to use a m ild soap or a
mild vinyl upholstery cleaner. Avoid using any abra­
sive cleaner not intended for use on vinyl.
О
Keep sharp or pointed objects o u t o f your pockets
and clear o f all upholstery.
NUTS/BOLTS/FASTENERS:
О
Periodically inspect all nuts and bolts. Tighten if
needed. If bolts seem to loosen periodically, use
Loctite 242 for a long-term cure.
О
Go th ro u g h a re-tightening sequence periodically to
ensure th a t all hardware is properly tensioned.
GUIDE RODS:
О
W ipe clean w ith a dust free rag. Lubricate w ith a
Silicon or Teflon based lubricant.
A D JU STM EN TS / LOCKING PINS /
TIG H TEN IN G KNOBS:
О
Check all pieces for signs o f visible wear or damage.
О
Check springs in Snap Links and Pop Pins for proper
tension and alignm ent.
О
If the spring sticks or has lost its rigidity, replace it
im m ediately.
AN TI-SKID SURFACES:
О
Replace if they appear w orn or becom e slippery.
W ARNING INSTRUCTION LABELS:
О
Inspect and fam iliarize yourself w ith all safety
warnings and other user inform ation on decals.
