P r e p a r a t i o n s
To set up this unit, you will need assistance.
Do not attempt assem bly by yourself.
Installation Requirements
Follow these installation requirem ents when assem­
bling the GCEC-340:
Set up the GCEC-340 on a solid, flat surface.
A sm ooth, fla t surface under the machine helps keep
it level. A level machine has fewer m alfunctions.
Provide am ple space around the machine.
Open space around the machine allows for easier ac­
cess and a more com fortable workout.
Insert all bolts in the same direction.
For aesthetic purposes, insert all bolts in the same d i­
rection unless specified (in te xt or illustrations) to do
otherwise.
Leave room for adjustments.
Tighten fasteners such as bolts, nuts, and screws so
the u n it is stable, b u t leave room for adjustm ents. Do
n o t fu lly tig h te n fasteners until instructed in the as­
sem bly steps to do so.
Fill out and mail the w arranty card.

and mail the w arranty card enclosed w ith the unit.
