Troubleshooting

If the unit is not working correctly, you can view status information about the unit in the
menu.
For more information, see "Viewing information about the unit" on page 33.
Problem
Unit doesn't switch on.
The display keeps
turning off.
Unit doesn't respond.
No input is displayed.
There are crackles,
pops or other noises
while playing music.
Cannot connect PC or
laptop.
Cause
Supply voltage is incorrect.
Power cable is not connected. Connect the power cable.
Power rocker is in the O (off)
position.
Mains fuse is blown.
The display is set to
automatically turn off after a
period of inactivity.
Unit is in sleep mode.
The cables are connected
incorrectly.
The cable is damaged or of
the wrong type.
The source content is
damaged or interrupted.
If a CD transport is connected,
the CD is dirty or damaged.
The USB1 firmware is
corrupted.
The operating system on the
PC or laptop is out of date.
Solution
Check if the voltage on the back of the unit is
the same as your local supply voltage.

On the rear of the unit, switch the power
rocker to the I (on) position.

Replace the mains fuse.

Change the display setting.

Wake up the unit.
For more information, see "Switching the

Check the cables are securely connected to
the correct sockets.
Check if the cable is damaged and that you
are using a recommended cable.

Play different content to see if the problem is
still present.
Clean the CD.
Change the USB audio class.

Check the requirements for connecting a
computer.
