Clocking

Clock jitter is variation in the digital audio clock frequency, which can cause a loss of fine detail
when listening to music.
The unit can do one of the following:
The unit locks to the clock generated by the source equipment.
The unit runs in Master mode for network and USB inputs. The unit uses its own internal
clock instead of locking to the data or an external clock.
The unit runs in Master mode and sends word clock to synchronise the source
equipment, for example, a CD transport. This arrangement helps to reduce clock jitter.
The unit and the source equipment both lock to a Master Clock. This is the best option
to reduce clock jitter.
Connecting a Rossini Master Clock
The Rossini Master Clock provides the unit with simultaneous 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz word clocks.
