Changing the DSD filter
The DSD filter is active when you are playing DSD files or upsampling PCM data to DSD.
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Select AUDIO SETTINGS > DSD FILTER.
3. Press the Menu button to change the DSD filter.
Filter 1. The default setting, which gives the widest bandwidth and the highest level of
out-of-band noise.
Filter 2. Reduces the out-of-band noise and bandwidth.
Filter 3. Reduces the out-of-band noise and bandwidth further.
Filter 4. Recommended for troubleshooting only. Sharply reduces the out-of-band noise
and also limits the bandwidth to 25 kHz.
Filter 5. Has a relaxed roll-off with a smoother phase response. Removes much of the
out-of-band noise.
Swapping channel connections
You can swap channels to correct a connection error.
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Select AUDIO SETTINGS > CH SWAP.
3. Press the Menu button to choose normal channels
This setting is reset when the unit is next switched on.
Adjusting the balance
You can adjust the audio balance.
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Select AUDIO SETTINGS > BALANCE.
3. Press the Menu button to open the balance adjust screen.
4. Use the rotary control to adjust the balance in 0.1 dB steps from 0 to –6 dB.
Mute is represented by -∞.
5. Press the Menu button to return the control to volume adjustment.
Balance set to the left.
Balance set to the centre.
Balance set to the right.
