RS-232 socket
The RS-232 socket is a 9-way male D-type connector. It can operate in two modes:

Text mode, which allows communication with a third-party control system. The baud
rate is 115200. To view a list of available commands in text mode, send a HELP
command from the connected system.
•
Binary mode, which is for factory use only. The baud rate is 4800.
The connections for the pins in the socket are the following:
•
Pin 2: unit transmit
•
Pin 3: unit receive
•
Pin 5: ground
•
Shell: cable screen and drain wire
You can change the RS-232 mode in the UNIT SETTINGS menu.

You can use the RS-232 socket to connect your Bartok DAC to a Rossini Master Clock, creating
a Power Link.
