Maintenance

Section 6
All of the incubator chamber walls are stainless steel. Clean the interior of
the incubator regularly to keep the stainless steel from corroding.
The exterior of the unit is painted metal and plastic. Clean the exterior
with warm water or a mild cleaning solution. Follow these guidelines when
cleaning the unit:
Unplug the unit, leave the door open, and allow the incubator to cool
before cleaning.
Remove the drip tray from inside the chamber.
Clean all surfaces and the drip tray with mild detergent (such as
dishwashing detergent) and warm water.
If radioactive materials have been used, clean the incubator using an
appropriate cleaner in an approved manner.
Do not scrub any surface with steel wool. Steel wool leaves small metal
particles behind that will rust, causing the surface to look rusty.
Where there is a heavy coating of residue on the stainless surfaces, or
where there is evidence that corrosion is beginning, use a stainless steel
cleaner.
Rinse and wipe all surfaces with clean water and allow to air dry.
