Power Up Messages
Setting the
Temperature

Hybridization Incubators
When power to the hybridization incubator is switched on, the display
shows one of these messages. Also, if the power ever goes off while the
incubator is operating, one of these messages will be displayed:
Message
Display alternates between
oFF and the measured
temperature.
Display alternates between
oFF and Alr (alarm).
Display alternates between
oFF and HI.
Display alternates between
oFF and tc (temperature
control).
1. Press and release either of the arrow keys to display the set temperature
for two seconds.
2. With the set temperature displayed, to increase the set temperature,
press and hold the up arrow for at least two seconds. To decrease the
set temperature, press the down arrow. Temperature can be set
between 0.0 and 85.0°C.
3. Release the arrow keys when the temperature is set as desired. After ten
seconds, the display shows the actual temperature. To return to the
actual temperature immediately, press the menu key.
What it means
Power was applied after sys-
tem had been switched off. If
message appears during opera-
tion, indicates that power went
off.
Measured temperature is more
than 3.0°C above the set tem-
perature. May appear if set tem-
perature is changed to a value
that is more than 3.0°C below
the actual temperature.
Measured temperature is more
than 99.9°C.
There is a problem with either
the temperature sensor or the
incubator controller.
What you should do
Press any key to stop the oFF
display. Incubator continues
operating normally. This is the
normal power-up message.
Press any key to stop the oFF
display. Display alternates
between Alr and the actual
temperature. Allow incubator
to cool. If problem is not the
result of setting the tempera-
ture lower, have incubator
serviced.
Press any key to stop the oFF
display. System will not oper-
ate and will continue to dis-
play HI. Allow incubator to
cool. If problem continues,
have incubator serviced.
Press any key to stop the oFF
display. System will not oper-
ate and will continue to dis-
play tc. If problem continues,
have incubator serviced.
