Temperature Sensor
The Temperature Sensor works by monitoring temperature changes within a range of 14°F to 104°F (using the built-in sensor element) and transmitting the current
temperature to your Wireless System Controller. You can set the Motorola homesight Software system to notify you when the temperature falls outside your
preferred range. A nursery, greenhouse, computer room, bedroom, and/or wine cellar are just a few suggested places where you can use your Temperature Sensor
to monitor ambient temperature.
External Temperature Probe
The Temperature Sensor comes with an optional External Temperature Probe, which can extend the temperature sensitivity range to between -40°F and 140°F.
The external probe is immersible, so it may be used to monitor the temperature of both air and water. A pool, aquarium, deep freezer, and/or baseboard radiator
are just a few suggested places where you can use your External Temperature Probe to monitor both ambient and water temperature. The cylindrical metal cap
located at one end of the probe houses the external temperature sensor. The plug (located at the opposite end of the probe) must be inserted completely into the
external probe jack (located on the bottom of the Temperature Sensor). When the External Temperature Probe is connected to the Temperature Sensor, the
internal sensor element is disabled.
