Interlocks

An interlock connection can be found on the back panel of the Pump Laser Controller, shown below. The Laser
will not operate without the interlock connection in place. If the interlock is open during operation, laser emission
will terminate, and the SYSTEM FAULT LED (Red) will illuminate. Ensure the external interlock shorting
connector or user-furnished interlock is installed prior to turn on.
A user furnished external interlock circuit can be used in place of the shorting connector. Any external interlock
circuit should be equivalent to a mechanical closure of the circuit. Do not apply voltage or current to the pins.
When the interlock is opened, the unit will terminate laser emission.

Intended for remote termination of laser emission for safety reasons. Opening the
interlock circuit creates a fault condition that can only be cleared by closing the circuit and
cycling the key (enable circuit)
