The "Settings - Digital inputs/outputs" menu item

The menu item "Settings - Digital outputs" is only displayed for the RF186CI and RF188CI
communication modules. If the communications module is connected to an S7 controller, the
configurations are made via the controller. The parameters in the "IO-Link process data
assignment" area are only displayed in this case.
In the "Settings - Digital outputs" menu item, you can set the properties of the digital outputs
and assign functions to the interface.
This page is divided into the following areas:
• Basic settings
• Digital inputs/outputs

Basic settings
In this area, you can select how the I/O interface is to be operated. Depending on your
selection, the corresponding parameters are displayed in the following area.
The following options are available for the I/O interface:
• Input:
An individual digital input is configured.
• Output:
An individual digital output can be configured.
• IO-Link:
Mode for connection of an IO-Link device with digital inputs/outputs.
Depending on the selection made here, the "IO-Link process data assignment" and/or "Digital
inputs/outputs" reports are then displayed.
