Charging Spare Batteries

A spare battery can be charged using the single-slot cradle(s).
Note: You can also use a UBC adaptor to charge spare batteries. Refer to
the UBC 2000 Universal Battery Charge Product Guide for more
information.

Using the CRD8800 Single-Slot Cradle

The CRD8800 Single-Slot Serial Cradle charges only the standard battery.
1. Connect the cradle to a power source.

2. Insert the battery into the spare battery charging slot on the back of the cradle.
Position it with the charging contacts facing down (over charging pins) and gently
press down on the battery to ensure proper contact.
The spare battery charging LED turns red to indicate that the spare battery is charging. The
battery fully charges in approximately 2 1/2 hours. See Charge LED Indicator on page 1-19
for spare battery charging indications.
