One side of the image is out of focus.
Image appears to waver

Turn the nosepiece to a click stop
Place the specimen flat on the stage.
Re-attach it
Use a cover glass of better quality
Push slide dovetail all the way until it

Make sure that nosepiece clicks into

Cover eyepieces and viewfinder with a
dark cloth
