Electrical connection

Please use only high-insulation connection cables that generate little or no

triboelectricity. The HBM connection cables meet this condition (see section

"Scope of supply and accessories", page 8).

You can connect CFT series sensors in parallel. The CSB summing box is

available for this purpose. If all of the sensors connected in parallel have the

same sensitivity, then the overall sensitivity is the same as the sensitivity of

each individual sensor.

Please be aware that measurements with piezoelectric sensors require very

high insulation resistances. Contaminations reduce insulation resistances con

siderably and therefore results in a strong drift. Therefore do not touch plugs or

sockets and screw on the protective cap when the sensor is not connected.
