STEP 2: (CAB INSTALLATION)
2.11 To install the compressor, run hoses from the left
to right side of the vehicle over the engine. Next,
re-install the compressor onto the compressor
mount. See Figures 2.11a and b.
Tools required
9/16" wrench or socket
5/16" allen wrench
2.12 Install V-Belt onto the outer "V" groove of the
double pulley found on the Compressor and install
the other end onto the double pulley found on the
alternator. See Figure 2.12.
2.13 Tension belt by placing a straight edge tangent to
compressor pulley and alternator. Place belt
tension tester in the center and perpendicular to
the belt between the (2) pulleys and next to the
straight edge. Push the tensioner towards the
theoretical center making sure that a deflection
force of 3.1 lbs. gets .2 inches of belt deflection at
the center of the belt. See Figures 2.12 and 2.13.

Set belt deflection force to 3.1 pounds
Set belt deflection distance to .2 inches
