8. Initialization Method

The setting procedures in this guide are based on the factory default settings.
Some settings may not be applicable unless you use the devices with the factory default
settings.

8.1. Initializing a Controller

To initialize the settings of a Controller, it is necessary to initialize a CPU Unit.
Change the operating mode of Controller to PROGRAM mode and select Clear All Memory
from the Controller Menu in Sysmac Studio. The Clear All Memory Dialog Box is displayed.
Check the contents and click OK.
8.2. Initializing a Weidmüller u-remote
The u-remote web server is used to initialize the settings of a Weidmüller u-remote.
For information on how to initialize the settings of a u-remote, refer to 4.3 Resetting the
coupler to factory settings of the Remote-I/O-System u-remote Web server manual
(2112220000).
Additional Information
It is necessary to connect a u-remote and your personal computer via USB in order to access
the u-remote web server from your personal computer.
