3 Using the column heater
Warning:
hazardous materials, toxic compounds, or their residues, wear
clean, chemical-resistant, powder-free gloves.
Caution:
• Do not allow buffered solvents to accumulate and dry on it;
• Do not submerge it in a cleaning bath.
Small column leaks can be undetectable because they can evaporate

To resolve a column heater leak sensor error (door in closed position):
1.
In the ACQUITY UPLC Console's Leak Sensors dialog box, determine
which of the sample manager's two leak sensors detected a leak.
2.
If the message reads "Leak Detected (Column)", open the column
heater's door. Otherwise, see the "Resolving leak sensor errors" section
in the Sample Manager Operator's Overview and Maintenance
Information document.
3.
Locate the source of the leak and repair it.
