6-20 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
INSPECTION
• Disconnect the lead wires coming out of the fuel level gauge.
Measure the resistance at each fuel level gauge float position. If
the resistance is incorrect, replace the fuel level gauge with a
new one.
• The relation between the position of the fuel level gauge float
and the resistance is shown in the following table.
Float position
A "F" (Full)
B "E" (Empty)
REMOUNTING
Remount the fuel level gauge in the reverse order of removal.
Pay attention to the following points.
• Align the tab 1 on the fuel level gauge with the cutout 2 of
the fuel tank.
NOTE:
Face the mark A to the forward.
Resistance
4 – 10 Ω
90 – 100 Ω
