4.1.1 Performance Check Preparation

4. MAINTENANCE & INSPECTION
NOTE: Make sure to request our authorized service agent for
repair of the instrument in case it breaks down.
Repair by anyone who has not received technical
training by us is prohibited since it could be hazardous.
Performance checking method is explained here.
The following items are required for performance check.
(1) Component Units of Liquid Chromatography System
 Autosampler (Chromaster 5260 or equivalent)
 Detector (Chromaster 5410 or equivalent)
 Data processing unit
 Waste solution bottle
NOTE: If deaeration of detergent is inadequate, full
performance may not be provided. In this case,
deaerate the detergent sufficiently or connect it through
a degassing unit.
(2) Items for Performance Check
Prepare the following items for performance check.
 Load resistance coil
A coiled stainless tube or teflon tube with an inner
diameter of 0.25 mm and a length of 20 m
 Methanol about 1,000 mL
 Distilled water in about 500 mL
(3) Standard sample
(Accessory of the Chromaster 5260 Autosampler)
Methanol solution of methylparaben
(Methylparaben 6 mg in methanol 100 mL)
 Sample vial, cap, septum
 Standard rack
