CHAPTER 2 – THE TOUCH SCREEN
Although the main functions of the Instant Replay are executed through the keyboard,
the touch screen enhances the functionality of the system by providing live information
as well as additional features for maintaining the infrastructure of the system. This
section covers details regarding each screen.
When navigating using the touch screen, the most common touch screen functions are
available. Tapping the buttons on the screen will execute the buttons. Finger
scrolling will move extended screens up/down or left/right as needed. Double tapping
certain items will execute those items. In addition, arrows, tabs, enter and the hard
buttons under the screen will also allow for quick navigation throughout the different
screens.
Note that depending on the system state (playing, recording, idle, etc.) certain buttons
or functionality may be disabled to prevent certain changes from being initiated.
The screens presented in the sections below may appear slightly different depending on
the version of system software.
