Transport Control Buttons

The Transport Controls include STOP, PLAY, PAUSE and RECORD as well as
modification keys.
STOP:
Pressing STOP ends recording or playback. Pressing and holding STOP fades the
clip down to a stop over a predetermined period of time.
PLAY:
PLAY Starts playback of the currently selected clip. Note that pressing Play
initiates playback from the beginning of the selected Clip, even if it is already
playing. The exception is when Play is used to disengage Pause or if a Clip is
cued to a specific point.
RECORD:
RECORD Places Instant Replay in Record Ready mode. A default time stamped
name is provided which can be changed any time prior to the actual start of the
recording. Pressing Play initiates the recording which continues until a set time
limit is reached (see Record Settings) or STOP is pressed. A Record Threshold
value can be programmed to allow the recording to start when the input level
rises to the threshold.
LOOP:
Loop causes a clip to repeat endlessly until either Stop or Loop is pressed. Stop
ends playback immediately. Pressing Loop exits from the Loop mode, and allows
the current Clip to continue playing to its end. Pressing Loop while running a
Playlist will have different effects depending on whether the Follow On setting is
set to MANUAL or FOLLOW ON. (See MANUAL setting for more information.)
Note: Loop on the keyboard only effects clips. To loop a playlist, use the LOOP
soft button on the Home screen of the Touch Screen Display.
PAUSE:
Pause interrupts playback of a Clip. When pressed again, playback will resume.
FF (Fast Forward):
Pressing the button causes the playing clip to speed up the playout of the
playing clip.
REW (Rewind):
Pressing the button causes the playing clip to speed up the playout of the
playing clip in reverse.
FOLLOW ON:
Pressing the FOLLOW ON button causes the playout of certain playout functions
to alter. Basically, if FOLLOW ON is lit, clips that play sequentially such as HOT-
LISTs or playlists, will continue playing each clip in order until the list is
complete.
