The Output Formatting Editor screen opens.
Click on the Format: text in blue below Format Output to open the Output Formatting Editor.

Parse Symbol?Check this box.
Press the appropriate button to select either Extract chars from symbol data, or Insert
your own text.

If you want to specify the range (number) of characters from the read character string to output,
select Extract chars from symbol data.
Enter the range for the number of characters to output. In the example setting below, a string
length of 1 to 4 characters is output.
