& WARNING Risk of becoming trapped
when children operate the side windows
Children could become trapped if they oper‐
ate the side windows, particularly when unat‐
tended.
Activate the child safety lock for the

rear passenger compartment side win‐
dows.
When leaving the vehicle, always take
#
the SmartKey with you and lock the
vehicle.
Never leave children unattended in the
#
vehicle.
& WARNING Danger to life due to exposure
to extreme heat or cold in the vehicle
If people, particularly children, are exposed to
extreme temperatures over an extended
period of time, there is a risk of serious injury
or danger to life.
Never leave persons, children in particu‐
#
lar, unattended in the vehicle.
To open manually: press and hold button
#
or 2.
To close manually: pull and hold button
#
or 2.
The windows in the front doors can also be oper‐
ated automatically.
To open completely: briefly press button

beyond the point of resistance.
Automatic operation will start.
To close completely: briefly pull button

To interrupt automatic operation: briefly

press or pull button
You can still operate the side windows when the
vehicle is parked. The function will remain availa‐
ble for around five minutes or until a front door is
opened.
Automatic reversing function of the side win‐
dows
If an object blocks a side window during the clos‐
ing process, the side window will open again
automatically. The automatic reversing function is
only an aid and is not a substitute for your atten‐
tiveness.
During the closing process, make sure that no
#
body parts are in the closing area.
& WARNING Risk of becoming trapped
despite there being reversing protection
on the side window
The reversing function does not react:
To soft, light and thin objects, e.g. fingers.

During resetting.

The reversing function cannot prevent some‐
one from becoming trapped in these situa‐
tions.
During the closing process, make sure

that no body parts are in the closing
area.
If someone becomes trapped, press the
#
W button to open the side window
again.

between the side window and window frame.
