14-2. Initial Setting and
Software Installation
1. Open the Service Menu (refer to Service
Information) and change the setting of "ECU
CONNECT" from "ECU" to "EVR".
2. Install the RF
(VFK1629) to your PC.
Copy the all file of RF Auto Adjustment Software
to optional folder on the HDD of your PC.
(ex, Make folder as "RF610ADJ". C:\>RF610ADJ)
14-3. Execute of RF Auto
Adjustment Software
1. Confirm that a tape is not inside of camcorder
and execute the RF Auto Adjustment Software
after connection has been completed.
<How to Execute>
I. Boot up your PC with MS-DOS mode.
II. Move software to new folder which was made
when installation.
III. Type "610RF.BAT" so that the RF Auto
Adjustment Software will execute.
IV. It can execute
WINDOWS Start Menu but please set full screen
mode for your display.
Note:
! This software was made for AJ-D610W and
D810A/WA. So there are two execute file for
each model. One is "610RF.BAT" and the
other one is "810RF.BAT". Be careful when
execute this software.
After execute software, the message "RF

appear.
Select "1: Initialize" of "Main Menu". In case

of first time use, changed PC, tools, or A/D
board, perform initialize.

1. When select "1 Initialize" of Main Menu, PC will
ask "Do you transfer BOOT PROGRAM? [(Y)
or (N)]". The bar graph from 0% to 100% will
appear when select "Y" as shown below. After
completion of program transfer to the EVR I/F
Unit, 100% bar graph indication will be
disappeared and the message "EVR INIT OK"
will appear. RF Auto Adjustment can be
performed

* If bar graph stops around 80% during
program transfer, turn power off / on the
EVR I/F Unit then repeat above procedure
again.

2. The message "Please insert the DVCPRO
Master Tape" will appear. Insert a DVCPRO
Alignment Tape (VFM3580KM for NTSC,
VFM3680KM for PAL).
3. After tape insertion, the following message will
appear,
"Tool Box Normalizing"
and start USER DATA measurement.
