5 Preparing the product for use

► Do not grind the prosthetic foot or footshell.
5.1 Alignment
The prosthetic foot is connected to the prosthetic socket using a lamination
adapter. Subsequent alignment corrections are not possible. Therefore, the
prosthesis should be aligned as follows:
1) Fabricate a check socket.
2) Connect the prosthetic foot to the check socket.
→ Use filler between the check socket and the lamination adapter to
adjust the alignment and the installation dimension.
→ Secure the alignment by wrapping the connection with reinforce
ment material.
3) Pull on the footshell (see page 16).
4) Check the static alignment and perform a dynamic fitting (see page 16,
see page 16).
→ The load line should run along the front edge of the lamination
adapter.
