These instructions for use provide you with important information on the pro­
cessing of the 17LA3 ankle joints.
2 Product description
2.1 Available sizes
The unilateral system ankle joint is available in four sizes. It can be used
either only medially or laterally of the ankle or medially and laterally of the
ankle. The choice of system size is based on the patient's body weight and
conditions of use.
Unilateral use
(lateral or medial)
Bilateral use
(lateral and medial)
INFORMATION
► When using the product unilaterally, and in case of flexion contracture
in the knee or hip > 10° or distinct torsion or valgus/varus instabilities
or increased bodily activity, the next higher size must be used.
► For tubercle seat or valgus/varus malpositions > 10° the product must
be fitted bilaterally.
