Installing a 10,000 rpm Hard Drive in
Bays 5 or 6
Drive bays 5 and 6 can be configured with a 10,000 rpm hard drive. The
installation for the hard drive is basically the same as installing a 7200 rpm hard
drive, except you will be installing a cooling fan. A cooling kit is required for
the hard drive when you install it in bays 5 or 6. To install a 10,000 rpm hard
drive:
NOTE: Before installing a SCSI device, please read "SCSI Cables and
Guidelines" later in this chapter.

Turn off the workstation and disconnect the power cord from the
grounded AC outlet and the back of the workstation.
