The IP phones support local and server recording. Only on the
SIP-T48S/T48G/T46S/T46G/T42S/T41S IP phone, you can record active calls onto a USB flash
drive connected to your IP phone, and the recordings are saved as *.wav files. If you press the
record key (refer to
Recording Using a Record
recorded and saved on the server.
Before call recording, especially those involving PSTN, it is necessary to know about the rules and
restrictions of any governing call-recording in the country where you are. It is also very important
to inform all the call parties that you are recording and ask for their consent before recording the
conversation.
On the SIP-T48S/T48G/T46S/T46G/T42S/T41S IP phone, you can record calls onto a USB flash
drive connected to your phone.
If you insert a USB flash drive to the IP phone when the phone is idle, the phone will detect the
USB flash drive and display a flashing USB icon. After detecting the USB flash drive, the icon
stops flashing and a message will display on the screen:
